As I was saying, if you have seen my guest post, then you know that one step in my winter lip care routine is to exfoliate your lips.
The lips are one of the most sensual parts of any persons body. With more than a million sensory neurons, just a little pressure can send you on a wild frenzy. So exfoliating your lips can make your uber sensitive lips feel refreshed and renewed all year -long, especially during the colder weather. Exfoliation gets rid of all the dead cells that just don’t seem to want to take a hint and hit the road jack.
Now if you’re new to the lip exfoliation game then you may not know where to start or what products to use to make your pout mesmerizing and kissable for the holiday season. But…. Never fear, Nella is here and I have got a scoop for you. A diy project that’s so simple and easy, it shouldn’t be legal. But it is! This DIY lips scrub will rid your lips of all its troubles and make you ready for life under the mistletoe. Plus you get the smell and feel of Christmas. So you ready for it? Then here…..we……gooooo!
DIY Sugar Cookies Lip Scrub
First of all, what you’ll need:
(dum dum dummmmmm…)
- A small bowl for mixing
- 1/2 tsp. Honey
- 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Coconut Oil/ Olive oil
- 1/4 tsp Sweet Almond Oil
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
Secondly, how do you make it now that I’ve gathered my artillery?
In the small bowl, mix together the ingredients. Mix mix mix and leave no man behind.
Then scrub-a-dub-dub your lips and scrub all your lip worries away.
Finally…. take it off! take it off! Wash off your lip scrub and marvel at the smooth lover that sits on your very face.
Voila! You have le perfect lip scrub for le perfect lips!!!
You can use this scrub once weekly just like you would your skin exfoliation routine and you’ll have the most amazing puckers ever! Kissy kissy bang bang! If you have leftovers from your scrub then place it in a small container and store it in your refrigerator for a repeat dose of lip love.
