Zits about time! Skin Tour REVIEW: PURLISSE SHEET MASKS
My relationship with sheet masks began on a faithful day when Ipsy decided to send me 2 sheet masks in my glambag. It was love at first feel when I used them. Since then I’ve been obsessed with trying different sheet masks and the rest as you say is history. Since then I’ve purchased numerous sheet masks and have frequently added them as a part of my Sunday Pamper Routine.
Fast forward to December 2017 and again Ipsy has blessed me 2 more sheet masks. This time from Purlisse. The packages given were the Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask and Green Tea + Ginger Rejuvenating Sheet Mask
This has been one of the coldest winters the world has seen in a while and as we all know winter weather can be very harsh to our skins. Winter is definitely not the time to slack on skincare.
The weather is cold and humid and the winds are punishing; stripping our skins of moisture and leaving it dry and flaky. And while flakiness may work for a strudel or a danish, it definitely doesn’t work for our skins. Therefore, we need to find ways to keep our skins moisturized stat! or suffer the consequences of being a strudel face for the entire winter and I’m sure no one wants that! So when I got these sheet masks that promised nourishing botanicals, antioxidants, and minerals that work together to detoxify and rejuvenate skin, I was like Yahtzee! it’s a match! So if you haven’t tried Purlisse sheet masks as yet, then read on.
Well what is a sheet mask?
For sheet mask novices, a sheet mask is a piece of fabric that is individually packaged in a pouch where it is soaked in a skin beautifying serum just ready to be placed on your face.
Once opened, all you have to do is to apply the sheet mask to a freshly cleansed skin and let it sit for around 15-20 minutes (or read the instructions on the package for the recommended time). The mask is designed to match the outline of a face so it’s a simple game of matching to figure out how to put it on. Then once time is up, you remove the mask and gently rub the extra serum into your skin in circular motions. This allows the serum to be absorbed some more.
Note: You don’t wash your face after using a sheet mask!!!
Purlisse boasts that the Coconut + Rice nourishing sheet mask delivers antioxidants and minerals to your skin that soothes and nourishes, while fighting free radicals and improving skin texture. It’s supposed to firm, tighten and moisturize, leaving younger, fresher and radiant looking skin. It’s recommended for dry and combination skin types but considering I have oily skin, I think it’s safe to say that it can be used by pretty much all skin types.
This sheet mask is said to deliver antioxidants and minerals to your skin that soothes and nourishes. Green Tea is a powerful antioxidant that improves the skin’s elasticity while the Ginger energizes the skin. This combination detoxifies impurities, reduces dark spots and rejuvenates the skin.
First of all let me just say that this is NOT A SPONSORED POST. All the views are my own and based on my experience using the products.
That being said, I really liked these sheet masks. The first thing you’re greeted once you open the packaging is the aromatherapeutic smells of the masks. They smelt sooo good!! Especially the coconut + rice which to me smelt like a tropical escape. Then once you applied the masks to your skin, they were so calming, soothing and gentle on the skin, it was like a moment of pure relaxation at a spa. They were pretty easy to apply and didn’t slip or slide off the face once they were applied.
When I finally took off the mask, my skin felt really moisturized. It literally felt as smooth as a baby’s buttock. With no additional moisturizer was needed!!! The results were absolutely amazing!!! My skin felt refreshed and revitalized!!!
I really liked these sheet masks and I would definitely seek to purchase them and even try one of the other sheet masks that Purlisse has to offer.
The sheet masks are priced at $8 individually or bought in packs of 6 for $36 and can be purchased on their website.
